One of the prerequisites for ECE 220 is a C or better in ECE 201. While, in general, to take ECE 220, students must have completed ECE 201 with a grade of C or better *at George Mason*, some transfer students *may* have the requirement for ECE 201 waived if they have the understanding of MATLAB at the level of a student who has completed ECE 201 such as being able to complete the ECE 306 Experiments 1-7 and ECE 361 Experiments 1-2, accesible via the web page:

http://ece.gmu.edu/matlab/matlab.html

If a student is permitted to take ECE 220 without first completing ECE 201 and does not earn a C or better in ECE 220, then that student will not be allowed to enroll in ECE 220 again until earning a C or better in ECE 201.

If you are a transfer student and have not completed ECE 201 *at George Mason* at the time you desire to enroll in ECE 220, you need to provide the ECE Department (Dr. Sutton) with the statement shown below. Your request will be evaluated and you will be notified whether your request has been approved. It is likely that approval will be made if the request is made for a student's first semester at George Mason. It is unlikely that approval will result if the request is made *after* a student's first semester. If you do not meet the requirement of submitting the statement at least two weeks before the start of the ECE 220 class then you may be disenrolled from ECE 220.

Email the statement below with "< name > - Override for ECE 220 Requested" in the "Subject"
