Attendance at recitation is required and will be randomly recorded throughout the semester by the recitation instructor
Attendance is not taken at lecture but will be sampled through unannounced in-class quizzes.
You are responsible for all material presented in class and in the textbook.
Make-up exams are rarely given. Requests for a delayed Final Exam due to multiple tests (>2) in one day will ONLY be considered if proper forms are completed an in my hands prior to the mid-semester break. Students who are more than 15 minutes late for an exam may not be admitted and will be assigned a grade of zero for the exam.
If you need special assistance, please inform me soon so that we can work something out.
You are encouraged to discuss homework problems with other students and/or obtain the assistance of the recitation instructor. Nevertheless, please write down your solutions by yourself.
Exams are closed book, closed notes, no use of calculators or other electronic device, and the normal Honor Code applies to all exams.

The topics to be covered are shown on the Fall 06 Calendar.
All homeworks will be accounted for and graded by the recitation instructor. Homeworks late within the first week after they are due will be reduced in grade by 1/2 of their value. Homeworks will not be accepted more than 1 week late and will be assigned a grade of zero.
Cellphones will be turned off during class. If you have an emergency need to have a cellphone on, speak to me before class.
Lectures may not be recorded without express written permission from the instructor.
